CMOS active pixel image sensor (CMOS-APS) is based on universal Super Large-Scale Integration circuit technologic. This kind of technique can make single-chip digital imaging system by integrating photosensitive pixel matrix, control circuit, analog signals processing circuit, A/D circuit, digital interface circuit in a single chip. Digital imaging systems using CMOS-APS have many outstanding excellences such as simple structure, small size and low power consumption. There is every reason to believe that along with ongoing development of CMOS techniques, the structure self and performance of CIS ongoing improvement and market increasing of Multimedia, digital television and visual communication, the application prospective of CMOS image sensor will be more broad.This thesis based on the FPGA and image sensors deeply researches on the CMOS image sensor data acquisition, cache, transmission, and process. It has developed one kind of image data acquisition and processing system. It has high speed, low power, low cost, and can complete image collection, transmission, processing and display combining with PC machine.The thesis proposes the method using pure hardware realizes SCCB bus. In the process of image combining with the features of FPGA, the system takes full its inner resources and proposes the method which SRAM read and shift register combines. Still further these modules are analyzed and studied in this thesis.On the basis of program design, the author finishes system hardware and software design and gives the entire test preliminarily to realize the image transmission between CMOS active pixel image sensor and PC serial sensor RS-232. Eventually, the thesis proposes improved program on account of the deficiency in the design.The thesis provides research basic for the applied fields such as industrial field, visional monitor and intellectual navigation bases on the digital image collection and processing system of CMOS image sensors.
