With the high-speed image acquisition technology of rapid development, high-speed image acquisition and transmission system has been widely used in scientific research, military, transportation, public safety, machine vision and other fields. Compared to the United States, Britain and other countries, domestic reserves in technology, product type, quality are relatively backward, particularly in the sensor and control technology gap with the West is very large, so that at this stage the domestic high-speed image capture device high dependence on imports. There, the study high-speed image acquisition and transmission system has a very important theoretical and practical significance. In this paper, detailed inspection of the relevant literature on the basis of a high-speed CMOS image sensor based image acquisition and transmission system research and design, the main work and results are as follows:1.In the relevant literature and reference materials, based on the analysis and comparison of CMOS image sensors and CCD image sensor structure principle and performance comparison illustrates the CMOS image sensor compared to the CCD imaging system is more suitable for high-speed, determined based on CMOS image sensor high-speed image acquisition and transmission system of the overall framework.2. System design using Cypress Produced LUPA-1300type CMOS image sensor imaging core, using Xilinx’s Spartan-6FPGA series as the main chip, the image data is transmitted via Camera Link module. System timing circuits using Verilog HDL language to write, to achieve the purpose of the regulation of CMOS image sensors.3. System software and hardware to build a test platform, the realization of the system acquisition module and data transmission module key, the key signal testing. Analysis of the experimental results showed that:The system used a CMOS image sensor, image acquisition to achieve a fast, high frame rate, image is clear and stable as a resolution of1024×1024. While the system hardware cloth edge for power and other aspects of rational design and planning, the System also has low power consumption, flexible control and so on. Collision detection in automotive and industrial automation and other fields has a broad application prospects.
