Remote automation lab is a remote advanced control system, which is based on the fast development of Internet, and is composed of computer automation technology, network communication technology, simulation technology, multimedia technology, network database technology and web technology. It has a widespread application prospect and developing space on the higher education.The automation lab Center of Chongqing University fetches in many advanced lab equipments, such as inverted pendulum, lab water tank, twin rotor system, magnetic levitation system, in order to reform the actuality that the lab is still using the analog experimental boxes to form the mostly experimental objects. Faced the fast increasing number of students, and the limited lab resources, automation lab put forward the project of building the remote automation lab to using the limited resources to satisfy the needs of lab teaching.At present, there is mostly two precepts from the web computer point of view: the remote monitoring plan based on the C/S model and the remote monitoring plan based on web technology (B/S model). Relatively, the first model is not easy to achieve the maintenance of software, and it also needs a relative larger spending; the second model achieve the separation of the developing environment and the applied environment, which makes the developing environment separate from the applied environment. Therefore, the dissertation chooses the second model to achieve the remote monitoring. Based on the definite plan, the dissertation conducts the research on the key technologies of remote monitoring plan, it mainly includes network communication technology, database technology, the control level and the data board card communication, the video monitoring technology and the network security technology and so on.The remote lab mainly divides into the customer level, the server level, the control level as well as controlled plant in the architecture. Customer level users visit system and use system equipment through the Internet web. The server level mainly carries on the centralized management of data as well as the management of the visiting mechanism of client side, in the level, there also establishes the video server, which is easy to manage the video frequency. The control level is the control computer, which is mainly used to control the many kind of control devices of scene level. The scene level mainly includes many related equipment of laboratory, such as inverted pendulum, water tank model, twin rotor system and so on.The construct of remote lab consist of remote virtual lab and remote lab. The dissertation introduces the project of remote virtual lab and remote lab. The remote virtual lab has been implemented. The twin rotor system and magnetic levitation system are the controlled objects. So the dissertation constructs the mathematical model for them, and makes the simulation research. The dissertation introduces the realization of remote virtual lab system which based on the web, completely designs the client side procedure, and constructs the client side application procedure, and also gives the monitoring contact surface as well as the response curve of twin rotor system and the magnetic levitation system.At last, the dissertation summarizes the remote monitoring system, and points out the work that need to be solved in the development of remote lab, such as network security technology, video monitoring technology as well as the control algorithm of the controlled object.
