Long-term, stable and smooth status of the blast furnace is not only the precondition of high yield and low consumption, but also the prerequisite to extend the life of blast furnace. BF iron making is in a closed container, in which the physical, chemical process is extremely complex, the state of the heater and furnace condition can not be directly observed. Reducing energy consumption in the blast furnace smelting process and achieving the stability and optimization of iron making production demand timely and accurate judgment and forecast to the status of blast furnace, adopt various adjustment measures in a timely and appropriate manner. Therefore, the blast furnace heat and exceptional situation prediction have been a hot research at home and abroad.In this paper the author took " Research and application of system for No. 4 blast furnace exceptional situation forecast " in a large-scale domestic iron and steel enterprises as the background, made a in-depth study of the blast furnace heat and the mechanism, knowledge acquisition, the inference engine design of exceptional situation and also developed a practical " expert system for BF exceptional situation forecast."Through the analysis and study of the blast furnace iron making process and the principle, it's found that there existed a large number of fuzzy information in the process of its analysis and judgment. Various measured parameters data of the blast furnace was analyzed to determine the parameters and characteristics of parameters which would impact exceptional situation of the blast furnace, to calculate the characteristic values and the threshold value of the characteristic parameters, and to determine the former reasoning credibility by calculating the membership. Based on the data analysis of the BF expertise, the knowledge base was established to judge exceptional situation forecast in the blast furnace, such as the heat, the cold, and pipelines trip, suspended materials and other materials collapsing. The online knowledge base can be added, deleted etc. On the basis of expertise in iron making and fuzzy mathematical theory, this paper put forward expert system for blast furnace exceptional situation forecast based on fuzzy reasoning.Expert system software for blast furnace exceptional situation forecast was worked out, Visual C++ and SQL Server2000 as the development tools. Visual C++ visualization techniques was applies to analyze and judge intuitively the blast furnace exceptional situation which may arise through the graph. Running examination showed that the percentage of hits of the system is high, the speed is fast and the system is convenient in use...
