Image is human visual base,and it gives us idiographic and intuitionistic sense. Image sensor as the obtaining image device can change the image information into electric information.The naissance and development of the CCD image sensor bring the times when image sensor is widely used.The time order of the CCD image sensor is complex,but it is popular in speciality field because of its well revivification of the image.The traditional CCD image sensor system always obtain analog signal which the following A/D conversion,compress,storage,transmission and other operations are based on,the system is hugeness and has some limitation in digitization field.Author study hard then set the interior register to obtain digital image signal,that let the system structure simple and strengthen the flexibility and the convenience of the system.This paper took ICX409AK as the example,studied the structure and the working principle of the CCD image sensor,proposed a system design project be composed of CCD image sensor,driving signal generator,image signal pretreatment device,digital signals processor and memory based on analysing the characteristic and the output signal of ICX409AK.The hardware design and image process study of area array CCD system based on DSP are composed by two parts:area array CCD module part as CCD image sensor as the core and image process with storage module as the DSP as the core.For the hardware circuit design,the paper proposed the whole project of the system,the structure and the working principle of the system was demonstrated.The system's main chips' characteristic and function,system's hardware circuit's design and function were introduced separately,and also the PCB's design's basical steps and layout.For the software design,DSP's system integration environment CCS and DSP program's design flow were introduced,in view of the area array CCD image sensor's color image,reviewed some commonly used algorithms and analyzed the advantage and disadvantage of these algorithms.used DSP as the hardware platform,in view of most algorithms were complex and hardware couldn't carry out,used these algorithms for reference,considered image characteristic and the relationship of the color, proposed synthesis algorithm which hardware could carry out.relized algorithm based on YCrCb space and the transform between different color spaces,well solved the color revivification problem.
