The thickness detection is important. In industry domain, the precision thickness detection will connect to excellent quality. In transportation system, the black ice detection would remind people of careful driving. In aviation, the ice thickness detection of aerocraft tells pilots there would be some troubles. The thesis brings forward one untouchable method of ice detection, using CCD as key device which has some excellent characteristics such as untouchable, high precision, easy computer processing, easy connect with automation devices, easy data processing. This untouchable method have very important signification in ice-sensor development.From the view of point of the basic principle of measurement instruments, the thesis presents design of the linear-CCD measurement system which is based on laser light trigonometry, describes in details CCD camera-len design, the drive of CCD, gain regulation of CCD, sampling and processing of data, and specially gives error study and analysis in depth.The key of the thesis work is how to design the drive program of the CCD. In this thesis work, high- speed singlechip as key device is used, solving problems such as low driving frequency, high waste resource, clock asymmetric and other faults. Such a design simplifies the hardware structure and assures the reliability and flexibility of the system. It also discusses the software and hardware design of the driving subsystem. Serious noise disturbance within video-frequency signals being considered, a special A/D is used , correlation detection and filtering processing is applied to sampled data as to assure good exactness and reliability. Because the data results need processing in real-time, a straight line least square fitting criterion of simple algorithm and efficiency is adopted in edge detection and the final results processing, satisfying the requirement of the system.
