The principle of pulse laser range technique could be described as follow: the laser send an optical signal to a target and accept the optical signal reflected by the goal, so the distance to the target is calculated by measuring the elapsed time of the optical signal. Leica DISTO A6 laser ranger is used for field industrial large-scale measurement based on the characteristics of this laser ranger, such as good laser alignment, portability, large range and so on. The laser range has an important role in exploration and investigation.A measurement system device is designed and a corresponding method is proposed based on pulse laser range and industrial large-scale measurement. The research works are summerized as follows:1. At first, the background of industrial large-scale measurement is introduced, and development of laser range is analyzed at home and abroad.2. The principle, structure and computing system of laser ranger is traced, so the measurement system and polar coordinates is introduced. First, we described the structure, function and communication protocol of Leica DISTO A6 laser ranger, and then Bluetooth serial communication and servo control is accomplished by MFC interface in Visual C++ 6.0. Finally, the servo measurement system is analyzed based on the whole work principle.3. Some error sources are analyzed, such as communication time, reflectivity of surface, spot size and so on.4. A method based on polar coordinates fitting calculation is proposed. The precision of laser ranger is calibrated, exemplified by 800mm standard device of square. The polar coordinates of collected data are transformed into rectangular coordinates so as to obtain corresponding graph and characteristics based on the least-square fitting.5. A new mathematics model is proposed for circular components, by which the characteristic data is acquired by polar coordinates directly. The validity of this method is proved by other more accurate instruments.
