Design And Implemention Of Java-Based RFID Middleware System

RFID system can identify the target object using Radio Frequency Identification and get it`s relevant data. With Electronic Product Code,all product in the world can relevant to each other, forming the"Internet of Things". In this information network, system can identify and trace every product on the supply chain, so as to facilitate the stock, storage and delivery process.RFID middleware is the key software system in RFID system. It is the bridge between the RFID readers and the enterprise applications. It provides a series of function representing the applications. It will filtrate and collect and count the RFID tag data to copress the content tranfered to back_up applications. RFID middleware system developed in this project lies between RFID Reader and back_end application system. It can support multiple readers and multiple back_end application systems to ease the difficulty of the system framework and the difficulty of the maintenance.This RFID middlewaresystem can shield the differences between readers by adding new hardware adapters. It can collect tag data, filter the data and conform the data and then provide standard information to back_end application systems. We also developed a demo system to demonstrate the effect of the RFID middleware system in real world. At last, this paper analyse the shortage of this system and the farther research aspect.
