Food safety has caused wide attention from people all over the world. How to develop anefficient ecological animal husbandry which not only ensures the safety of food and also canimprove the development of animal husbandry and aquaculture industry has been animportant research topic. At present, the dairy industry in our country is in the transitionperiod that from quantity expansion to quality efficiency, the management of the herds arealso gradually from the traditional extensive form, loose management to intensive type,intensive management direction development, which requires to undering the overallcondition of the cattle meticulously. By monitoring the cow feed, lactation, reproduction anddisease prevention and control strictly, to improve the level of yield of the cows and cattleoverall economic benefits. Under the background, it has been inevitable to develop that diaryfarms bring in Internet of Things to realize automatic management. In recent years, thetechnology of the Internet of Things also is widespread concern.“The Internet of Things” wasthe third wave of the information industry of the world following computer and Internet. Atpresent, the search and development and application of the Internet of Things has beenextended to many fields such as the supervision of food and drug quality, environmentalmonitoring, agricultural production. The development of the technologies of electronicproduct code (EPC) and radio frequency identification devices (RFID) accelerate thedevelopment of the Internet of Things. EPC code can ensure that every product in the worldhas a unique code. RFID can identify products having the electronic tags automatically. Thus,through the platform of the Internet, using the RFID technology and the technology ofwireless data communications, we can construct a network platform which achieves globalitems information real-time sharing.It is a continuous process to ensure the safety and reliability of milk produced by cows. Inthis paper, using the correlation techniques of RFID, the Internet of Things and EPC, wepropose the fundamental principle of the based on EPC Internet of Things and RFID precisionfeeding management system for cow, which achieves the simulation and forecast of process ofgrowth, the measurement of quantity of individual milk, automatic bathing, and automaticfeeding, and detection of weight, health, physiological indexes, and assess of benifit, and the adjustment of growth rate and the statistical analysis, etc. Using the EPC Internet of Thingsand RFID technology, we realize the precision feeding management system for cow, whichcan divided into three parts:(1) information collecting, collect the relative information aboutcow using ultrahigh frequency RFID and EPC technologies;(2) information monitoring,according to the information of cow from information collecting, milking and dosing andfeeding for cow automatically, and monitoring physical signs of the weight, the state of healthof cow and so on;(3) information service, provide to store and query the information of cow,simulate and predict the process of growth, and conduct to access benefit and adjust thegrowth velocity. The system realizes the management of the information of workers in thedairy farm, the mangement of cowshed information, the mangement of herds information, themangement of information of milk production, the mangement of feeding and feed, themangement of cattle breeding, the management of diseases and disease epidemic prevention,statistical analysis and the maintenance of system. At the same time, we analysis and researchthe information flow in the process of cow breeding in detail. We present the dairy platformarchitecture based on the EPC internet of things and RFID technology. An auto rasing cowsystem was designeed, based on the RFID technology. The electronic tags are set on the cows,tracking the process of raising diary, milking and diseases automatically. By attaching the tagson the milk of the cow, we can track the information of milk further. Compared with thetraditional bar code system, the auto-system of feeding dairy based on RFID technology ismore convenient, quicker and more efficient. Through data statistics, we analysis the growthof diary, mating, the quantity of milk by one day and the lactation curve of dairy, etc. Byanalysis the growth of cow, we can boost the growth of cow by adapting some measures suchas adjusting the ingredients of fine complement feed. By the statistical analysis of thelactation curve of dairy, we can improve the production of dairy by some measures. By thedevelopment of the precision feeding management system for cow, based on the EPC internetof things and RFID technology, we use the RFID tags to realize the tracking and backing ofcow. It not only can reduce the labor force effectively, reduce the farm cost and improve thequality of the milk production, but also reduce the influence of the environment. It makes theraising of cow become scientific management, resource saving and environment friendly,benefit remarkable industry, which is a important technology measurement for realize thetransformation of the animal husbandry industry in our country form the extensive form tofine and effective type. It can promote the competitiveness of Chinese agricultural products inthe world trade. Except that, it can improve the public trust of our government and thehappiness index of the popular.
