The conception of Electronic Product Code is based on the development of Radio Frequency Identification and computer network technology. In fact, EPC system is Internet of Things which is based on the computer internet and utilize the technology of Radio Frequency Identification, wireless data communication etc. The idea of EPC(Electronic Product Code) network was brought by Auto-ID Center in MIT(the Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in 1999, so far it is supported by many famous college and international firms, the research results are on trial in many firm such as Procter & Gamble, Tesco. Its core is EPC and electronic tag based on Radio Frequency Identification technology. EPC is sole, discriminating code that it is distributed by Auto-ID Center, and it is saved in electronic tag.The ultimate objective of EPC network is to build global, open identification standard for every object, its development not only can real time track every object, but can offer support for users by optimizing the whole supply chain, thereby it can drive the RFID technology development quickly and can greatly improve the living quality of global customer.According to the actual situation of development of the material network and the research I have done, the paper introduces EPC & Internet of Things in details, the main work is as follows:1) Presenting the aim and spirit of the study based on the concept of EPC background and the situation abroad.2) Starting from the basic structure of the Internet of Things, the paper shows the analysis of the principles of EPC and its relations with GTIN system, also the composition and principles of RFID system.3 )The study gives a particular explanation to the technique of EPC network, which contains Savant, ONS, PML and EPCIS.4) The paper shows the details of C1G2 agreement between RFID and, finally I gave my own idea of anti-collision algorithm.5) The communication of RFID was achieved according to the demo program for high frequency reader.At the end, it analyzes the content and flaw about the paper and puts forward some suggestion and expect in the future work.
