The high-speed data acquisition system is an important constituent of the pulsed laser ranger, and the measurement precision of the pulsed laser ranger mostly depends on sample rate of the high-speed data acquisition system. System On Programmable Chip(SOPC) is a new system design technology of Hardware/Software Co-design, and will be an important direction of development of circuit system. The design and implementation of a high-speed data acquisition system with 1Gsps sampling rate and 8-bit resolution, which use NiosⅡ, is analysised and researched in this paper.In this paper, the design and implementation of the high-speed data acquisition system based on NiosⅡare described in detail, including introduction of relative knowledge, the design of whole scheme of the system, the implementation of software and hardware of the system, the testing and discussion of the system. This paper uses CAN Bus controller which is customized in FPGA, optocoupler and CAN transceiver to implement CAN Bus communication, and describes the hardware logic and device driver of CAN Bus controller in detail. Moreover, the cause of error produced in the system is discussed in detail in this paper. By using the time-interleaved sampling mode of the ADC, this error which can correct the measurement results is obtained, and the measurement precision of the pulsed laser ranger is met.This paper presents a method which realizes system functions with custom logic components. This method avails to improve the flexibility of the system controls, reduce the number of peripheral chips, enhance the reliability of signals and reduce the project cost, and the system also has very strong expandability. The high-speed data acquisition system devised in this paper meets the requirement of improvement measurement precision of the pulsed laser ranger, and has great significance for research and development of other high-speed data acquisition systems.
