The workshop-level resources management, logistics control and enterprise information integration is an important aspect of the production system. Play a very important role in the operation and management of enterprises. Manufacturing Execution System (MES) could integrate enterprise's information with the aid of Internet technology, advanced manufacturing technology and other related technology. MES is the middle level between enterpriser's planning level and control level of the workshop, primarily responsible for the production management and scheduling, MES as a bridge connect the planning level and manufacture control level, to enhance productivity and competitiveness of enterprises is of great significance.The paper presents the background of the topic, sources and purposes of the research and based on the survey of the manufacture of JiangLin mould factory. The production of mould is a typical multi~kinds and small batch. Its production process is very complex and needs high technology, and the enterprises must deal with a great mass of data based on the production characteristics of mould, and it is difficult to image to finish these data collecting, statistics, and analysis by manual work. Computer aided management Systems can help the mould enterprises implement information integration and resources sharing. Based on the operating characteristics of the mould production process, the papers build a flexible and configurable MES system. And also based on the analysis of current Domestic research and Application Status and the pattern of classic Job Shop, bring forward another scheduling patter to satisfy the manufacture scheduling suit for mould manufacture. Has a positive effect to the wild use of MES and some theory value.Base on the research of above, Design and develop a production management system suit for mould manufacture, mainly include orders management, process management, resource management planning and scheduling modules. With the experience of the application in more enterprises, the system will be perfected, so the system will have a bright future with extensive applications.
