Laser cutting is using laser that focused into a very small spot laser beam to cut the cloth. When the laser beam irradiate to the surface of cloth, its energy turns into heat instantly. The cloth will be melted by the heat, forming the slit, so that cloth was cut. Compared with the traditional cutting, laser cutting has following advantages, such as high speed, high precision, good quality, computer control and easy to realize automated cutting. So ihas been widely used in garment processing industry.This dissertation presents the architecture of laser cutting control system. It describes each parts of the system, including the control card interface, software, optical system.Firstly, it presents the development of laser technology at home and abroad, and anolysis laser cutting's working principle. Secondly, it presents the laser cutting's working process and the architecture of the system. Thirdly, it designs the control system's card interface. Control card and PC interface follows the standard PCI bus definition. Fourthly, it designs the software of the control system, using Visual C++ 6.0 as the development tool. It prepares the control processing code and its compiler which was based on Object-Oriented programming ideas. It also introduces the linear and circular interpolation algorithm and its implementation in detail. Fifthly, it introduces the designing of the stage, including optical system and the circuit of power supply.
