Laser cutting is prevailing in manufacture widely. Nowadays, laser jobs-shop always meets the phenomenon that the surface of workpiece is a wavelike form which will drive the shape and coarseness of incision in huge error. To overcome these obstacles, this paper takes the solutions as follows:(1)The Artificial Neural Network (ANN) is used to build the model from the surface of workpiece offline. The improved PSO algorithm is introduced to train the ANN which is charge of adjusting the motor's step for keeping the focus position. Experimental results indicate that the novel algorithm has better generalization than BP algorithm.(2)The Reversing Interpolation Algorithm driving the motor along the coming track in X-Y axis is proposed.(3)Based on the ARM9, the cicuit extended with AD7745 takes the multiple channels to capture the capacitance synchronously. This method will increase the detective precison sharply without decreasing the processing velocity.The main contents of this thesis are as below:Firstly, Chapter 1 introduces the current situation as well as the framework of laser cutting system and Chapter 2 emphasizes on the scheme as to the new controller including the structure of hardware and software system.Secondly, Chapter 3 focus on the key technology of motion controller including the predictive control algorithm based on the ANN and Reverse Interpolation Algorithm. The mentioned ANN is trained by the PSO with Passive Congregation algorithm which is a computational intelligence method for optimization.Thirdly, Chapter 4 presents the basic hardware components using the multi-channels mode to improve the precison for capturing capacitance. Chapter 5 aslo introduces the framework of various functional modual for software such as motor driven module, communication module and so on.In Chapter 6, Experimental results indicate the proposed algorithms are feasible and useful.At last, the author takes the summary to the thesis, and forecasts the development technology of embedded system in aspect with high speed motion control.
