Supply management plays a very important role in enterprise's daily work, which has great effect on profits. Good supply management can not only improve work efficiency, but also supply accurate information to managers to control supply. Inconsistency of material code has become a big problem to block the supply management among different departments in which supply management runs. Therefore, Design of supply management system is of great importance to improve efficiency of supply in enterprises. This thesis is based on design and implement of a supply management system for CH Corporation.Firstly, many problems faced in supply management have been researched. Such as supply management can not keep up with the change of production patterns, production plans lost control when procurement, production is out of touch with supply and the inconsistencies of code among department related supply and production. According to different patterns of modern enterprises'supply management, with analysis of content of supply management, a bar code based framework for supply management is proposed.Secondly, based on bar code technology and combined with supply management, a series of coding rules is put forward. Based on these coding rules, each material is specified a unified and unique code. EAN-128A code system is adopted considering to the large number of material varieties.Finally, detail work of supply management is described. Four main modules, including planning, procurement, storage and suppliers, are developed and implemented according to enterprise's characteristic. Function requirements and data flow among these modules are analyzed. A balancing algorithm of supply planning is designed to solve problem of plan's out of touch with procurement.Based on the above theory and methods, prototype and structure methods are used to implement software system architecture to support heterogeneous applications and database systems. A supply management system based on bar code is implemented on the software platform Delphi. At last the validity of the design is verified through some examples.
