Version management is important research in product data management (PDM). In this paper, relationship of version domain model based on polychromatic sets and application are put forward by deep research in version management and related technologies. The way of dynamic changes of the relationship in the process of version evolution is shown in this paper. According to the characteristics of model, B+ tree index is established, and search algorithm for version based on B+ tree is given. In this paper, the techniques and methods are used in controller software in injection molding equipment for version management.Chapter one analyses the status in PDM, its main functions, and the application in enterprise. The status in version management and its concept are introduced. Problems in version management are discussed. The main content and frame are put forward.Chapter two discusses Linear Version Management Model, Treelike Version Management Model and Directed Acyclic Graph Model, and analyses the characteristics of the model. According to the theory of polychromatic sets and polychromatic graphs, relationship of version domain model based on polychromatic graphs is established.Chapter three discusses the four states of version in R & D: working version, the version submitted, and paid versions of the freeze version, and analysis of eight methods of operation in the version evolution, puts forward the characteristics of relationship in a changed version. The rules of version domain changes are shown.Chapter four builds relationship of version domain model based on polychromatic graphs, according to the technique of relationship of version domain. B + tree index is established and search algorithm for version based on B+ tree is given.Chapter five describes the structure of the injection molding equipment and its working principle, and analyses the dynamic relationship of the software version of controller, using the relationship of Version domain model shown in this paper. Software version management, relationship between injection molding equipment and software version, searching content of version are discussed. Theory and methods, which put forward in this paper, are verified.Chapter six summarizes the research results of this paper, and gives the way for further research.
