Computer Science becomes more and more important in modern society, whatever for personal application or enterprise application. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system based on Database and Network can significantly improve business process and enterprise management.This article is about a common and compatible ERP system development and application for small-to-middle size advertisement companies. In order to support business growth and financial management, this ERP system contains six modules: Customer Management, Business Management, Employee Management, Salary Management, Profit Management and Administration Management.This system is developed in Visual Studio .Net 2005, SQL Server 2000 and C#, tested in Unit-Net-2.0 2.2.8, and maintained in Microsoft Visual SourceSafe 2005.This article introduces key achievements from system development:(1)First, this article summarized Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) and its application in enterprise management, introduce key technology and current status of Software Engineering and Project Management.(2)Based on software theories about software engineering, database normal form, plan general system architecture(3)With Structure Analysis (SA), complete requirements analysis and design system function, with general specification from advertisement company(4)Summarize Normal Form theory and Database technology, and their application in database development. Introduce method, procedure, new and future technology in database design(5)Following 3 F construct (MVC) and common & compatible data tier access, design and develop User Interface and Business Logic Tier of functional modules. With system development, technology and method of Graphic Analysis, DataGridView and data exclusion were used(6)For system security, VPN and MD5 Encryption Technique were included in system design and development. This research and development increase ERP system efficiency for small-to-middle advertisement companies, enable user to make data analysis for decision making and are valuable for similar system design.
