After China entered the World Trade Organization in 2001, the domestic market economy, science and technology are advancing day after day. Under such social big background, it is necessary for enterprises to improve the resources utilization rate and product quality to strengthen competition ability and the management level, and to improve the lean production.In order to achieve the desired economic benefits with the increased competition, the advanced enterprise information technology and ideas should be taken into consideration for enterprise managers. ERP serves as a kind of business software system with management philosophy and it is the abbreviation from Enterprise Resource Planning. Combining with specific business in aspects of computer information technology and management fields, it provides a strong technical support for enterprises in the fierce market competition.The ERP principle and development progress, the process of establishing ERP application system based on software engineering theory, and the necessity and feasibility of ERP implementation are firstly discussed in this paper. According to the current domestic enterprise characteristics and in the case of ERP manufacturing management design and implementation, the manufacturing industry ERP system implementation solution is acquired and the manufacturing management ERP system implementation process includes the function, the database and the end user interface design.Due to its relatively complicated production process and great amount of material categories, the objective system upgrades demand from Chen De Plastics Machinery Co. Ltd. is firstly and fully analyzed in this subject and it is concluded that the standard function of Oracle ERP itself cannot support the business demands well. Secondly, according to the customer’s business needs, a more suitable solution with ORACLE ERP standard features and some customization development work is in need to fulfill the construction of ERP system. In the final part, the implementation and test process of Chen De ORACLE ERP upgrades project is introduced, which can better monitor the system efficiency, and in another aspect is beneficial for the injection molding machine business of Chen De Plastics Machinery Co. Ltd.When the system is just on operation, there are many issues to tackle, such as the loose control of system function, the performance problems from users’ incomplete understanding of ERP system and a very user unfriendly interface, and so on. After a three-month online support together with constantly optimization of the system by the implementation personnel, the end users of the system is more and more familiar with business processing in the system and the whole injection molding machine production business of Chen De Plastics Machinery Co. Ltd. can be normally and efficiently processed by the ERP system.The users are satisfied with the final delivery of the ERP system upgrade project, and that is to say it is a victory in ERP system upgrades project implementation for both the customer and the implementation companies. It is expected that some reference significance can be brought by this paper to future ERP system upgrades project implementation.
