Research On ERP Application In The Postal Transportation

There are large numbers of transportation business in postal system include postal logistics, express mail service, letter and package transportation and so on, which comes down to much punctilios such as fright storage, manpower assignment and vehicle attemperation. The manner of management is also complex. In order to improve the transportation efficiency and reduce total cost we need adopt systemic, scientific and safe mode to manage the postal transportation.Enterprise Resource Planning is a synthesis with scientific management concept, thinking and method, which integrate all the research of enterprise and manage the logistics, fund flow and information flow of enterprise. Enterprise can improve management efficiency With ERP system and reduce cost.Because the postal enterprise is provided with wide scope, the solving precept based network is very important. If the postal enterprise can bring to bear ERP system adequately, ERP system can support all the information requirement of postal enterprise with a synthetic solving precept.In the research of this paper we will analyse the existing ERP product module with EMS transportation portion in the postal system and find the appropriate management manner, devise the corresponding information management system.There are some researches on ERP system applies to postal enterprise in oversea, but it is not more in our country. As the whole solving precept ERP is not a software, but it is a crystal of management thinking and management idea. How to use ERP to postal enterprise is not a royal road. Our research will advance ERP system fast development of our postal enterprise.
