Gprs Remote Monitoring System

Data collecting system composed of MSC and micro-computer system composed of PC in series have already been widely used in industrial control, meteorological phenomena measurement and environmental monitoring etc. These systems mostly apply RS-232, RS-485 or cable modem ,though very economical and practical,but cable data transmission has limited its application prospects to a large extent. In order to make it more flexible and convenient, we developed a remote GPRS monitoring system. By using existing GPRS network resources, taking the advantage of wide covering, good transmitting characteristics, a convenient wireless data transmission method has been put forward for present data collecting system. This shows the trend in the field of industrial control and live monitoring. Furthermore, it can also been widely used in alarming, power monitoring, petroleum and mining system ,etc. This project includes, the MSC design of the remote-control terminal stations, the monitoring software design of the main station, the communication and control between the MSC and the computer ,and the memorizing and display of the data . The research of the project is an integrated application of multi-science technology ,including Micro-electronic,computer interfacing, the sensor, GPRS communication ,database,and programming, etc . The main task is the data collecting and handling by using MSC technology, the auto-controlling of the equipment, the monitoring software design of the main station ,data memorizing and display, the communication and control between the MSC and the computer with the GPRS model, and the short SMS coding of PDU, etc. The system includes two parts : the micro-computer control center of the main station and the remote data detecting and controlling terminals .One control center can monitor many terminals .When more terminals are necessary ,remote data ,deleting and controlling terminals can be located, and corresponding setup is made in the software of the main station in micro-control center ,then the new control terminal is working.
