With the improvement of SAR image technology and application of modern military strategy, the recognition of SAR image are attracting increasing attention as a hot research at home and abroad. The recognition of SAR image technology relates to radar theory, signal processing, electron and electro-circuit and digital image processing, etc. Whereas the lack of the engineering platform in the research field and the limitation of the research conclusion based on the computer simulation, this paper proposes a new real-time recognition scheme based on the practical engineering research.In view of the above issues, this paper focuses on resonable distribution of the structure of the hardware and software of target identification, and strive to build an embedded system with stable, reliable performance, efficient processing, and is facilitate to realize. The result is TS201 mesh topology array at the core construction of image processing hardware platform, which provides high-speed interface, such as LinkPort, G-link, to complete the functions such as data communication between core processors, data record of target identification and so on. To meet the development requirements, classic algorithms were appropriatly choiced and orderly arranged, effective target identification and data records are ultimately achieved, PCI boards with independent intellectual property rights were independently designed, and Software integration environment was improved. As a result, the whole target identification system was developed and tested.The subject consists of three segments: Hardware, Software and Implement Designing. The paper includes six paragraphs. The first paragraph describes the background and analyses the actuality and developing trend of the target recognition and explains the task, difficulty and innovation. The second paragraph shows the system principle, analyses the subject demand, explains the designing idea and layout and finally briefly introduces the choice of the key resources for example TS201 chip. The third paragraph explains the realization of the hardware platform, principle configuration,hardware logical control, exterior-memory accessing, communication protocols, Synchronization-chain response, resetting logic, timer driving and so on. And the electrical source and the heat design are also discussed. The fourth paragraph introduces the selecting and optimizing of the recognition algorithm and respectively discusses the processing results of SAR image which adopts such arithmetic as linear filter, gray-scale tensile, watershed design, opened /closed loop operation. Simultaneity data recording format is also briefly explained. The fifth paragraph introduces the designing processing of PCI boards and the testing processing of the whole recognition system. At the same time specifically SAR image is applied to the system and the effectively recognition and result-recoding are realized. The last paragraph summarizes the whole design which is used to guide the after task.In this subject, the hardware platform adopts high-performance DSP processors and high-speed recording interface (less than 10-9 BER) which establishes stable bases for multi-sensor data fuse. As the real-time software was processed orderly and optimized effectively, it has great compliance with the norms of project development. Otherwise the early testing facilities are mended to be more simple and convenient and have great maneuverability. Therefore, the system meets the performance needs of product development in full, and is easy to apply in engineering. In the actual use, it is reliable, stable, efficient, and therefor processes a high degree of project promote value and broad application prospects.
