The beamforming technology is the core of the array signal processing system, thefundamental significance of which is that it forms a beam pattern in a particular direction andmakes spatial filtering for pre_sampled signal of the array from a certain direction andsuppress interference and judges the azimuth of target by user.Terefore,the study of thebeamforing technology is very important in sonar,rader and communication systems.In the paper,it mainly aims at the adaptive beamforming algorithms for the uniformlinear array as a in-depth study.Firstly, the research background,the development and currentsituation of the adaptive beamforming is summarized. then the principle and method forbeamforming are of the more detailed derivation and discussion.Secondly,the paper which focus on the uniform linear array of beamforming makes adetailed analysis and derives the beam pattern function.and then it makes use of Matlabsoftware simulate the beam pattern.guide lines for adaptive beamforming and adaptivealgorithms are deduced, several adaptive beamforming algorithms are analysed.Finally,this paper introduces the beamforming of steered minimum variance (STMV)based on TS201.The overall structure of the system uses parallel processing architecture,andit makes a certain description of the application hardwares in the system.
