Radar Information Extraction System Based On DSP

Radar signal digitized processing has got a new break-through with the development of Very Large Scale Integrated Circuites(VLSI) technology,especially with the appearance of very large-scale programmable logic device and the promotion of high-performance DSP configuration.On the research of VTS's key technology,this thesis designs and realizes Radar Information Extraction System based on DSP.This system adopts high-speed DSP developing board(SD7541A) to constitute the system hardware platform,and realizes the optimization design of radar information extraction system for displaying and tracking through DSP software programming.The integrating of high speed A/D,high-performance DSP(TMS320C6416),FPGA and some other devices on the SD7541A board makes the design of Radar Information Extraction System lay more emphasis on software programming.It can fit the dynamic modification of parameters,thus realize flexible control,improve the design flexibility, compatibility,upgrading ability,and shorten research and development cycle.The design of Radar Information Extraction System includes three parts:the digitized acquisition of the radar signal,information extraction,displaying and tracking based on PC.The course of Radar Information Extraction can be expressed as follows: First,the high-speed A/D on the SD7541A is used to acquire radar video signal;after obtaining the radar echo data,DSP restrains the clutter from the radar echo by strong data processing ability,then carries out information extraction with the method of correlation or adjacent detection;finally the PC get the two data information report for displaying and tracking through PCI bus.This thesis briefly introduces the resources of the hardware platform and its structural frame,lays an emphasis on the methods of radar information extracting with adjacent detection,thoroughly presents the optimized design of software based on real-time operating system(DSP/BIOS) and carries on the experiment to test and analyze on the displaying terminal.Radar information extracting is accomplished well in the high-efficiency method of radar information extraction,which is based on SD7541A,a high-performance DSP board.
