Along with the rise of 3D modeling technology and the emergence of virtual reality,a perfect working platform is provided for production design and creation.Using the three-dimension conception,designers can analyze and evaluate the feasibility and reliability of a design plan through model simulation.With the gradual maturity of the theory of 3D modeling,many excellent modeling technique and software are developed and their application area becomes wider and wider.However,there has been very few successful application of virtual sculpture.Recently,3D modeling software which has free sculpturing function,for example,3D MAX,though has strong function,but it has a higher request for users' computer level and operation capability,and mainly is used by professional three-dimensional body producer in computer domain,and the study of it is difficulty and the study time of it is long for users,and it has a long distance with the customary operation of professional personnel,users need to set lots of relevant parameters. So,exploiting a virtual sculpture system for spacious users has its applied value.This system emphasizes particularly on expression effect of virtual sculpture productions' appearance,because of the sculpture productions almost are irregular bodies, so this discourse adopts indexical surface's generating method to generate close indexed surface of basic bodies as sculpture object,and provides lots of simple interactive operation methods,users can select operation methods to appoint the heave and hollow of bodies' surface by interactive operation.This discourse improves existed operation methods for a point and surface based on surface model,and comes up with new thought of modifying solid's topological configuration,and offers easy methods to uncork,to perforate and to build columniation heave and concave on the body's surface,which can enrich the variety of operation of virtual sculpture and improve the transformative capability of the model.This system is easy to use,so it debases the technological level of users.Users can use simple alternant operation simulating handwork process of sculpture, and can finish the production process of virtual works breezily.This system has itself applied foreground in lots of aspects,such as sculpture,design of invent,design of handicraft and toy,and intellect edification.
