The LED lattice screen is composed of many light emitter diodes which is arranged according to the rule. It is used to demonstrate the character, the design and other information. The LED lattice screen owns the characteristic of high reliability, long service life, strong environment adaptation, high performance-to-price ratio and low cost of using. Therefore, it is widely used in information expression domain.At present, the wire transmission LED lattice screen that controlled by computer is not convenient in installation and position changing. On the other hand, the way of public wireless transmission need payment. In addition, most of the LED lattice screen is fixed in dimension and cannot be adjusted according to need. Thus a system of LED lattice screen based on wireless transmission is developed to fill up the deficiency above. In this system, the transmission module and the receiving module communicate in short distances by wireless transmission, so LED lattice screen can not only be installed and changed position conveniently, but also run at low cost. In addition, the modularized LED lattice screen makes the screen to be assembled to needed dimension in actual use.This article first gives an account of overall design of the LED lattice screen system based on wireless transmission and divides the system into four parts: the manage and sending module on PC, the wireless sending module, the wireless receiving module and the LED lattice display module. Then, it elaborates the hardware and the software design of these modules. The hardware design focuses on the driving circuit, and the software design on the transformation of the Chinese character to lattice data, the nRF905 wireless transmission and the I~2C bus transmission. Finally, we make use of the software Protel 99SE to design the PCB board, make an experiment board to conduct the hardware simulation and realize the basic functions.
