Network manufacturing is the combination of advanced manufacturing technology and networking technology, and will bring new change for the manufacturing industy in our country. The workshop is as the information flow of the enterprise, the ones that flowed with control in material flow assembled one, it was a source of the enterprise benefit, Therefore become the focal point of business admin istration.How -ever,because the complexity, variety, changeable quality of workshop itself, which need a kind of new management and control system badly. Workshop management system's setting-up can effectively settled which things influence of the incident has happened suddenly of the production processes a systematic one, Have improved ability of delivering goods on time, have reduced the cost of purchasing, have promoted the credibility of the enterprise. Its achievement in research can be applied to planning,control and decision of workshop level , and Offer the theoretical foundation for the extensive popularization and application of the technology of flexible manufacturing system.The paper presented the concept of flexible and open workshop management orientated network manufacturing.and decide the technology which used in the develop of workshop management.Then,base on the result of survy and analysis the trait of production in workshop under network circumstance,a active model,business model and information model was founded.Base on the requirement analysis and the production model of workshop, the process of production planning is designed in detail.Then the concept design and logical design of system's database are accomplisede according to the E-R based model.Finally, the system's fuction is careful done,and the paper expatiates the general designing ideas,analyzes the roles and architecture of system., established the system's function model. Sequentially, general function structure of the workshop management designed,which composed of six sub-modules;and the sub-modules,rights management and operating environment are introduced, and the results of system is given.Finally, the research contents and conclusions of this paper have been summarized and its further studies forecasted, and the results are given.
