In the past 20 years, wireless communication has advanced rapidly in the world, which provides kinds of services to the people, and satisfies various requirements of our society. Whereas, most wireless communication systems are not compatible with each others, which has already become a great difficulty to meet requirement of future communication systems.Software radio (SR) emerged as the times require, and provides a thought of solving this problem. SR is based on a versatile programmable platform to realize all kinds of communications criterions, to meet requirements of many increasing new molds and functions. The agility of systems is highly improved. As another revolution in wireless communication area, SR has become one of the most important research fields. This paper aimed at studying the principle, architecture and features of SDR and developing a mid-frequency digital signal receiver platform Based On Software Radio. The core of this mid-frequency digital signal receiver platform which is based on PCI bus is high-efficiency float-point DSP ADSP-TigerSHARC. It also includes a one-channel high-capacity acquiring system and high-capacity signal storage. This platform can be easily expanded to more complicated architecture to adapt to the various parallel algorithms. This paper focuses on the development of multi-DSP processors. The essay adopts multi-DSP processors to set up the core processing unit. The whole system adopts the Software Raido structure based on the transform. The broadband digital signal receiver requires a kind of chip with high performance because of complicated intermediate frequency signal processing. The author put forward a kind of two TigerSharcs system. The first ADSP-TS101 read data from A/D module directly. The two TigerSharcs transmit data from each other and transmit data with other modules through LinkPorts. At the end of the essay we validate the whole system platform with the recognition of modulation and cord rate.
