The purpose of Visual Communication Design is to make the information communication more effective. From the perspective of transmission, the paper focuses on scanning Visual Communication Design union the semiotics and psychology, which is considered as a integrated process, and finding the effective method to enhance the effect of Visual Communication.The paper introduces the conception of transmission,information and Visual Communication Design, the elements of visual language. Then having researched on the relationship between the Visual Communication Design and the information communication, put forward the opinion that the Visual Communication Design is a complete process of communication. On this base, the paper analysis the elements of the process in detail, environment, disseminator, audience, medium and the content, and sets up the theory frame of transmission model in the Visual Communication Design. Visual Communication can not exist without mediums, the mediums is bridge that connect designers with audiences. Designers should not only make full use of the advantage of new medium, but also innovate traditional media and choose the proper medium according to different audiences. The audience is the information accepter who are not passive but initiative participants, the paper emphasize audience's mainly psychology ingredient through the questionnaire survey data, and point out that to arouse audience's attention is the primary factor in Visual Communication Design.Finally, supported by the research results above, the paper puts forward several suggestions on how to make the information communication more effective: Firstly, creativity is so important that it's the key to attract audience's attention, and designers should take different creativity strategies according to different situation; Secondly, integrated use of different mediums can make full use of the advantage of mediums, and enhance communication effect. Finally, designers should design to meet audience's different demands, the mass media have turned to be the mass-decentralized transmission. The paper combines the Visual Communication Design with transmission, use the theory and method of transmission in the Visual Communication Design, in order to expand a new understanding and find a new way of studying the Visual Communication Design.
