Design And Implementation Of Laboratory Opening Management System

Open laboratory of higher schools is the new method to cultivate creative persons and the key process to carry out experiment teaching innovation. Therefore, how to make more students use the laboratory resources well has become to a problem which should be solved urgently. Innovating the traditional management mode and realizing the IT-based management of laboratory opening can improve the using rate of laboratory and the positivities of students, help managers disengage from the heavy works of laboratory management and promote the education informationization of Tianjin Normal University and the whole education system.Based on the study of large numbers of literatures and systems, aiming at the limitations of traditional management mode, the project put forward to develop Laboratory Opening Management System. With an eye to the actual situations and needs of Tianjin Normal University, the design rules of the system were proposed according to the aims, contents, meanings and management processes of laboratory opening. The users, frame, functions and database of the system were designed in detail. The project used ASP.NET 2.0 and Ajax as the main developing technology, SQL Server 2005 as the database. After having settled many technology problems based on the needs of laboratory opening management, the Laboratory Opening Management System was implemented finally. The design of Laboratory Opening Management System was as excellent as the technology realization of it.The system was developed according to actual circumstances of laboratory opening management, realized the IT-based management. The information provided by the system was timely and exact and the expansibility of it was also good. The system provided an easy way for users to use it, so it lightened the workloads of managers, speeded the resource integration of laboratory, increased the positivities of teachers and students and made students adapt to the need of society. The system is test running now within a small range after being tested.The project is"Tianjin Normal University Laboratory Innovation Study Fund Project".
