Abstract/Summary:
With the development of marine applications, our country has accumulated a large number of marine information resources. However, the following questions are hard to share these resources. Information resources sharing are the primary problem in marine applications, and the information resources referred to include marine data resources and applications. In this paper, we work for the project of Shanghai Technology Committee -- Shanghai Ocean Disaster Grid System (SODGS), and present a solution to meet the requirements of marine information resources sharing. At first, we design an interoperation (or sharing) model based on Grid for marine information resources sharing. This model uses hierarchical structure, and the layers are: Application & Portal, Tools & SDK, Grid Management Services, Core Services, Network Communications, and Marine Information Resources. The layer-based design makes a distinction of information resources and logical applications. We take the common module into service-package as the bridge that links resources to applications. Metadata System is the core module of the model. Using the index, we can find the resources and invoke them. To standardize the resources and services interface in the grid environment, we propose data template and services template. Facing the widely scattered marine services, we use integrated services function to invoke a set of services to realize a certain work. In addition, services test is introduced to detect the quality of services.Secondly, this paper introduces the experimental development environment of marine information resources sharing grid system and the implementation process to this model, includes the applications of ocean disasters case access and observing data access, the development of marine grid portal and integrated services functions (ocean observing data access and ocean disasters case information integration), the development of core services, and the implementation of metadata system. Finally, this paper introduces the project background of SODGS and the process of achievement conversion. At the end of paper, we use a number of instances to describe the running results of SODGS.
