Research Of Educational Resources Sharing Based On OGSA

The high developing of modern distance learning impels every school of Network Education to develop their own learning systems and resource libraries. But these systems are so dispersed and isolated that it leads to a result that there exists very great difficulty in sharing educational resources comprehensively and system operated mutually. The appearance of the grid technology makes these problems become possible to solve. There would be significant and valuable to study how to apply the grid technologies to educational resources construction.In this dissertation we mainly study how OGSA technologies are applied to heterogeneous and geographically educational resources under the grid environment, how to realize the high-performance resources sharing. Firstly, this dissertation studies the two supporting technologies and operation mechanism of OGSA in detail, and analyzes the service-oriented model. Secondly, based on the research about characteristic of educational resources, it proposes the three-layer sharing model and designs educational resources grid application system, including services interfaces designing, logic function designing and procedure of service call designing. Thirdly, it puts up the grid environment by Globus Toolkit V3, realizes the educational resources registry and locating services in simulation by using Eclipse IDE. It is verified that OGSA has advantages not only in realizing the high-performance educational resources sharing, but also in eliminating Information Island and Resource Island.
