With the development of the society, the perfecting of motor industry and the improvement of the level of people' life, the amount of sedans is becoming greater and greater. Therefore, people spend more and more time accompanying with sedans. At the same time, with the change of consuming psychology, the transformation of living rhythm and the reinforcement of security consciousness, it is urgently expected to solve the problems how to enjoy higher quality of living, more convenient way of work and more reliable safeguard of life. As a result, being the key to these problems, car system receives much recognition by researchers all over the world.This paper described a common phenomenon that most of current car systems pay more attention to unilateral function and treat the system and environment respectively. Pervasive computing is the key theory to the next generation of web computing which is popular now and the single car oriented car system will not adapt to people's demand and developing of society. By combining general car system and pervasive computing, the system designed in this paper should be provided with these characters as bellows: stable function, low noise and heat, high-capacity and big range work, all-weather work, high allocation accuracy, high reliability and quasi real-time communication system, rich interface, strong information processing ability, low cost and fast industrialization. To satisfy the demands as above, this paper proposes a pervasive computing oriented car system based embedded technology. The core of hardware is Intel XScale PXA255 and the operation system is embedded Linux and the GUI is MiniGUI which is a local free software MiniGUI.The system designed in this paper is an integration of embedded technology and motor industry in the new theoretic background. The implementation of this system improves the entire motor industry and interdisciplinary research. People's demand is totally considered in this system. The system has loose structure, good capacity of expansible and compatible.
