The concept of Web 2.0 was introduced in 2004 during a conference of between the O' Reilly company and the MediaLive international corporation. In 2005, Chinese Internet development started paying attention to Web2.0. While this year, Web2.0 has attracted a lots of attentions around China. Varied applications of Web2.0 technology have changed the Chinese network user's life. All industries begin to study Web2.0 technology and its application in related areas.With the development of network, consumer's information need is customized. The service pattern of information service organization is changing from " centering on information service organization" to "centering on consumer ". customized information service becomes the leading direction. Some person of information science put forward some new service thought such as "customized requirement", " customized service" etc.In the thesis, the author studied on Web2.0, and customized information service for the digital library. On basis studying in theory, the author has designed and developed a learning support system on Web2.0 based. The main characteristic of the system is to emphasize user participation, for example users can upload their own resource to share within typical interested group. Also the system provides a good interactive platform to the users so that the users can have their own space to study and discuss with others, such as resource sharing, network bookmark and subscribe to a subject. The main technology of Web2.0 is embodied in the system. The main structure of the thesis is as follows:Firstly, briefly introduced the research background of the project; Secondly, summarized the basic concepts of the Web2.0 and customized information service of information science, also the research status of the union of Web2.0 and the customized information service of information science was introduced. Based on these, discussed the theoretical and practical research significance, and the principles of designing the system, analyzed the feasibility of structuring learning environment and completely introduced the structure, design and development result of the learning support system. Finally, the prospect of Web2.0 application in information science was discussed.
