The Design Of Metrology Management System Based On Three-Tier Structure

Metrology is an activity to realize uniform unit and accurate, reliable value. Metrology is widely used in industrial and agricultural production, national defense construction, scientific research, economic trade, health care, environmental protection and the broad masses of the people's daily life, which has become an important technological basis of national economy. Metrology and Test institution is a technological organization that is set up in accordance with the law, which plays a very important role in promoting the development of economy. Efficient operation of Metrology management system software can improve the efficiency and quality, and promote scientific research and improve management, so as to create more social and economic benefits.The author of this paper has made some inspection of the relevant information on measurement, done some detailed investigation about the working process of the Metrology and Test institution, analyzed the demands and performance requirements of the management system of measuring. The author has designed a fully integrated system which includes business management, standard equipments management, certificate management, financial management, personnel management, system maintenance to achieve standardization, informationization , scientific management system.This paper firstly introduces the multi-tier distributed technical basis, design-related component technology, middleware and distributed system of two multi-tier software architecture, analyzes the C / S model and B / S model's respective advantages and disadvantages, decides to combine C / S and B / S model. Secondly, the paper tell us the supports that Delphi providers for multi-tier distributed technology and how to develop multi-tier distributed system using Delphi. After that the paper detailedly describes the way to design the metrology management system.The paper partly presents the demands needed , the design and implementation of database, the middle layer, the client , focuses on meters' basic information, metrology meters' listing, metrology meters' verified period, certificate management and so on.The interface is good as well as easy to operate. In this paper, Delphi is used as development tools and SQL Server 2000 works as a powerful database.
