Text-based Study On Lesbian Virtual Community Of Queer By "Uses And Satisfactions Approach"

The rise of the internet is not only an important social, political, economic and cultural event in the second half of the 20th century, but also a global event. With the birth of network, Virtual Community, or virtual community based on the individual interest and specialized need appears in this space.On the other hand, owing to the concept of social constraints, the homosexual groups in the real environment usually conceal their sexual orientation to reduce the pressure that may be encountered in their lives. However, the advent of the internet provides them new space for showing true identities and expressing real feelings. By the method of observation and interview supplemented by a questionnaire survey, this paper researches on use and satisfication of the homosexual groups' virtual community and takes QILABBS as a case which is home for female homosexual groups.The full text is divided into three parts. The introduction is mainly to present the study of the origin and significance of the issues at home and abroad. Bedides, the research method is explained in the introduction. The second part inspectes thelesbian virtual community------the three parts of QILA BBS. Meanwhile, thecondition of uses by queer community is analyzed with the result of questionnaire survey in this part. The last part is the conclusion of this research. Through research, the author finds the uses appeal of homosexual group are different from the common net citien, but have their own traits.
