Grid Computing Technology In Water Conservation Informationization Platform Applied Research

This paper originated from National 863 plans projects "Faced to water conservation informationization platform construction application server middleware and it's application in national flood prevention command system engineering". The paper used the grid technology to solve the complex forecasting problem in water conservation and formed computing serviceability compared to large-scale computer even super computer under existing hardware environment. Thus improves the present aspect which the computing resource is deficient.Grid computing uses each kind of computing resource, distributes the geography, isomerism, through the high speed network connections, using parallel computing method to finish the computing task. The Globus Toolkit tool bag as the system software of construction the grid computing system has provided a series of services module which the solution of grid computing problem needs, causes the user developing grid application procedure to change quite easily. Meanwhile, parallel computing has been widely applied in high-performance scientific computing after several years' development, but it's almost applied in the local area network or cluster environment. The paper integrates the two techniques to develop parallel computing service which is based on the environment of grid technique.The paper firstly discussed the related concept of grid computing and the present research situation, introduced the main idea of Open Grid Services Architecture (OGSA), analyzed the grid computing system software Globus Toolkit and its service module. Secondly, the paper produced the system design plan to construct the grid computing platform, carried on the concrete realization process to construct the grid computing platform, finally, in this grid computing platform, the grid application development of MathServer has been carried on.Next, through the research of parallel computing, the paper analyzes the problem, which will be face in parallel computing in grid environment, and gives the project. These problem include major application strategy, the division and distribution of tasks, communication mode, concurrent programming and security problem. Moreover, the paper gives the main code of the implement of parallel computing in the grid computing environment. And it gives the result by N queens' example and carries on the performance analysis to this system.Finally, this article summarizes the work inadequate, given the outlook for further work.
