With the development of quality-oriented education, modern instructional technology has been implied into education, becoming one of the branch of the new round of course and teaching reform. However, the modern instructional technology widely used contemporarily are not flexible enough.Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) provide a new and strong technical support for education's informationization. The unique functions and user friendly designs reflect modern education's philosophy, which have had a far-reaching influence on the development of the classroom instruction.The case studies illustrate that the introduction of IWB into the classroom involves much more than the physical installation of the board and software. Teachers are the critical agents in mediating the software, the integration of the software into the subject to the lesson and appropriate use of the IWB to promote quality interactions and interactivity.According to the research, the overall influence of the using IWB in science education is positive. The main points of using IWB in science education are as follows: update the teaching resources constantly; make full use of the tools for presentation to create diverse learning environment; provide students with more chances to participate in activities; adjust teaching according to the immediately feedbacks from the students.
