In computer graphics, it is an important subject to search for describing all kinds of phenomena and sceneries mathematical models, and displaying these phenomenon and scenery. However many natural sceneries are difficult to be described by Euclidean-geometry methods, such as fog, vegetation, water wave, blaze and so on. With fractal-geometry, the capacity of modeling natural scenery is strengthened.Fractal is found out by Benoit Mandelbrot, a French mathematician from the U.S. It is mainly used to describe surname geometry in the nature, which is difficult to be described by traditional Europe geometry methods. For example, the coast line winding around turns and twists , the mountain range rising and falling erratically, the rough crossing section, the floating cloud that is constantly changing, the curving river, the blood vessel, the stars , and so on . Their shapes are very irregular . It is broken up and irregular firstly, but the forms whose shape is irregular shapes isn' t a fractal. In the initial stage of the fractal theories development, the fractal is described as the form whose part and whole is likeness in a certain way. At present, it is not limited by a research object of from alike property, if an object of part of and whole have from imitate to shoot the transformation relation, is called to a fractal.
