In automatic control field, people often make simulation of control arithmetic using Matlab before designing the controller. But single software simulation is different from actual conditions. The simulation technology of hard ware in loop which makes the actual objects instead of mathematic models can ensure the experimental result is the same as actual conditions.The program is made by flow chart in labview. it is opening, blocking and can be changed from each other. Labview can be linked easily to external hardware and make real time control. The program can be built to executable file and auto run not in labview environment. It can make research for control theory and software designing conveniently, so it can improve the work efficiency.Mordent control theory based on state space must be realized by accurate mathematic models. In fact, because of the structure, parameter and experiment of industrial object is not fixedness, that can result in the control quality drop severity. DMC is based on steps response of controlled object which is measured easily. DMC is simple and it has strong robust performance, so it suits for control the objects which have time lag characteristics.In this paper, labview and DMC is combined and used on water lever control system. The work has been done as followed:1. Establishing the hard ware experiment flat. Solving the problem of the communications between labview and DAQ; Designing date storage block, display block and control interface which is intuitionist and convenience. From that we can see labview has strong ability of date processing, and the program can be maintenance easily. It can decrease the work intension.2. Choosing DMC to control the water lever system because of its time lag characteristic; Designing DMC based on labview.3. Making the HIL simulation experiment. Putting the DMC controller on the THJ-2 teledata acquire control experimental equipment to control actual water lever. The result show that DMC controller has good robust and dynamic performance, it is good for used for the controlled object which has time lag performance.
