The rapid development of network technology and wide application of the mobile computers drives people's imperious demand for mobile Internet. Such pressing promotes the research of mobile IP greatly, among which mobile IPv6 plays an increasingly important role. With continuing development of mobile IPv6 protocol, the number of mobile IPv6 products is growing and at the same time,the problem that various standards are inconsisitent with the protocol standard specification becomes more severe.Therefore, it becomes important issue to launch mobile IPv6 protocol conformance testing so that the protocol implementation are consistent with standard specification, which can help to improve protocol implementationAt present, numerous research institutions have conducted the mobile IPv6 protocol conformance testing, including IRISA (institute of research in data processing and random systems) in France,UNH-IOL laboratory of North America , Institute of Computing Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences , TAHI plan in Japan,etc.. Among them,TAHI plan in Japan has already published more than 400 conformance test cases, which have covered the majority of functions that the protocol standard describes.It is the latest and most intact test suite so far. However, TAHI plan uses Perl script language to describe the test cases, and adopt interpretive execution method to carry out the testing. Its testing structure is complicated,in which many testers are required to connect to system under test. Moreover, extra serial communication is needed to coordinate each tester. All these characteristics make their test cases dependent on the specific test platform heavily and their portability poor.The main research contents of this subject are, by analyzing the characteristics of mobile IPv6 protocol in IPv6 network environment, to design mobile IPv6 conformance test suites using finite state machine model test generation technology and TTCN-3 testing language, design the testing program, set up the testing environment and carrying on mobile IPv6 protocol conformance testing. At last the testing result is provided. In order to save the testing cost, improve the efficiency of testing, this paper has supported a parallel test method of mobile IPv6 conformance testing, in which a single computer is used to simulate muti-node to test the system under test. In addition, test automatic configure information message has been designed .It is used for helping the adapter of test system understand the network topology and cooperate with test system to finish the test. Research in this thesis will play a positive role in promoting the debugging and promotion of mobile IPv6 protocol product.
