Conformance Testing Study Of Mobile IPv6 Protocol Based On TTCN-3

Mobility has currently become the key driver of the Internet innovation: high-speed bandwidth, mobility and the always on-line wireless network can offer one bran-new network service. As the next generation Internet protocol IPv6 protocol must support the mobility. Thus, the conformance testing of mobile IPv6 protocol protocol will be necessary. This thesis focuses on the conformance testing of Mobile IPv6.we do some research work on the mobile IPv6 protocol conformance testing from two aspects, theory and practice.Conformance testing of mobile IPv6 protocol based on TTCN-3 includes formal description of protocol, test generation, completing abstract test suit conforming to TTCN-3 grammar requirement and development of test platform based on TTCN-3 test system. Our research can be divided into four parts. Firstly, we adopt four-level structure to descripte Mobile IPv6 protocol, in the application of finite state machine in its modeling process, we take into account the correspondence between a number of mobile nodes and correspondent node, and import the concept of multiple- node FSM. Then we adopt Extended Label Transition System to describe data flow of the protocol, and we constructs the executable test cases according to the defining information and using information of the variables based on data flow rules. Secondly, in view of the available executable test cases, we use the international standard test language TTCN-3 to design and implement Mobile IPv6 protocol test suites. Lastly, we build the test platform of mobile IPv6 protocol after the development of test system adapter, and take interface functions of adapter that is provided by testing software as the foundation to expand certain functions of some functions in the mobile IPv6 protocol conformance test process, moreover we run the test suite on test perform towards mobile IPv6 protocol software MIPL and get corresponding conclusion.
