The Design And Implementation Of National DSRC Test Suites

DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) is the protocol which is earmarked for motor vehicles and roadside equipment to exchange information in the area of ITS(Intelligent Transport System).DSRC system is divided into three parts: OBU(On Board Unit),RSU(Road Side Unit) and DSRC protocol.With the Dedicated Short Range Communication National standard being issued, many research institutions and companies start researching and developing the OBU equipment and the RSU equipment.In order to verify whether DSRC protocol implementation can conform to the protocol of specification and whether such equipments can interoperate with each other,protocol conformance testing must be performed.Now our country only issued the draft of protocol conformance testing method,and there is no test suite for protocol implementation,so the research and design of the protocol conformance test suite for the national DSRC standard implementation can contribute to the national DSRC application development and would be very significant.This thesis designs the conformance test suite of national DSRC standard implementation by researching and analyzing protocol conformance testing standards, TTCN-3(Testing and Test Control Notation-version3) standards and the national DSRC standard.The national DSRC standard implementations include OBU and RSU equipments.Shen Jin' paper researched and designed national DSRC protocol standard conformance testing suite of OBU equipment,which is deficient.This thesis improves and perfects it.This thesis is described as following:Firstly,it studies the protocol conformance testing standards,TTCN-3 standards, the developing platform-TTworkbench Basic,the national DSRC protocol standard.Secondly,it discusses and analyzes the deficiency and shortcomings of the testing suite of Shen Jin' paper for national standard DSRC protocol of OBU equipment.And then it improves and consummates the design of this suite.Finally,it researches the design of the conformance testing system for the DSRC protocol of the RSU equipment,involving designing testing suite structure and test purposes,selecting test method,designing the abstract testing suite of RSU equipment. All the test suites are implemented with TTCN-3.
