CRBT (Color Ring Back Tone) service is one of the main value-added services of telecom operators. At the Recent time, telecom users feel less interest in color rings and do not change their rings as often as years ago. Therefore, the operators has developed new sub-services to meet their customers' requirements and prompted related marketing activities. But the outcome of these acts was always difficult to estimate.In order to increase ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) effectively, the telecom operators need to maintain better customer relationship. They need to analyze the user preferences to discover the marginal consumer tendency, assess the effects of changing promotions, and conduct their acts with more pertinence. In this situation, a data statistic and analysis system for CRBT service is proposed.CRBT Statistic and Analysis Platform (CSAP) is a professional data extract, process and present system. It extracts data from running service servers, and carries on multi-dimensional operations to analyze user characteristics. Then it produces useful target data and displays it to the staffs of telecom operators, using charts and diagrams.The Data Process and Present Subsystem (DPPS) of CSAP is presented in this thesis. It focuses on data mining, knowledge discovery and data presentation. CRBT service servers provide source data for the subsystem by data extracting, transforming and loading. Then it builds subject-oriented data warehouse, analyzes on the huge amount of data, and presents the data clearly by a visual interface. These are considered as the main functions of the subsystem.To satisfy the demand of telecom operators, the service must be investigated deeply and enough information about the requirements must be collected firstly. For a service with large amount of users, a customer knowledge base should be built. In the view of a platform for statistic and analysis, data mining and multi-dimensional analysis to the huge data is essential operation. Also, a visual and easy-used representation interface is greatly needed here.In the first chapter of the thesis, the present situation of value-added services and the design idea of the CSAP is introduced, followed by the key technology in building the Data Process and Present Subsystem. In chapter two, the functions and designing demands for the DPPS is introduced. Based on this introduction, the subsystem is designed and implemented, including several layers and modules. In chapter four, it describes the state of the running system, and analyzes the future development of the Data Process and Present Subsystem.
