| With the rapid development of technology in network and multimedia field, telecom company are asking for higher quality video monitoring equipment. The communications between the remote video monitoring systems have become a very important issue. How to fit for the development of the networks has became a key point about developing a video monitor system.Session Initiation Protocol is a signaling Protocol, which can be used to get the location of a user, determine the media and the media parameters to be used. With supporting the SIP protocol in the remote video monitoring system, any SIP terminal can receive the information from this monitoring system. If the video monitoring terminal was implemented based on SIP, the monitoring system would become an open and intelligent system, thus the surveillance can be performed at any time and place. My research subject is a SIP based Remote Video Monitoring System, including both its design and implementation. This paper first brings forward the content and significance of this project, followed by the introduction of SIP,RTP and MPEG-4.Then,it describes how to design and implement a SIP based on Remote Video Monitoring System with detailed description of MPEG-4 based video processing, RTP based video transmission, SIP based remote control and image analysis based auto-monitoring.The paper presents a basic solution of the remote video monitoring system with SIP, and brings the monitoring system some new features. And then, the paper explains how to test the software and the result of the test. At last, the paper gives the conclusion of this research and some advice to improve this system. |
