Based On Embedded System Remote Video Surveillance Technology

The scheme of remote video monitor system based on the ARM and embeded Linux OS is stated .In recent years, with the rapid development of the network and multimedia technology, the trend in video monitor system is digital,networking, and intelligent. And the video technology also is used all kinds of aspects in our life .This paper focuses on the research and development of a remote video monitor system to meet the needs of the applications.This paper analyzed embeded Linux's application in video monitoring system.Researched and solved many problems,which are often encountered in its application.Designed and implemented a video monitoring system ,which mainly included two parts:hardware and software.The hardware is based on S3C2440 ARM9 microprocessor of the sansung ltd.,and software is based on embeded Linux OS.And built on the above platform,we added drivers and applications to the system. Also the advanced MPEG-4 standard is adopted .The functions of the compressed technology decrease the burden of the network .The research done in this thesis work includes the follows: summarization of the ARM9 microprocessor and embeded Linux OS,repotting U-BOOT, cutting out and configure of the embeded Linux OS, writing video module's drivers, repotting of the embeded Linux GUI,collecting video digital data and the transmission of the network based on RTP. Finally function testing and performance evaluation are carried out on the system.The future research topics are also discussed.
