This dissertation focuses on the methodology of building a scalable Radio Network Data Mart in Mobile Communication supporting networks.China's mobile industry has grown into a subscriber-oriented mode as comparing to the previous network-oriented operation stereotype. This definitely calls for a profound change in the IT supporting aspects. China Mobile has finished the BOSS system construction now, and the two systems have realized series of BI (business intelligence) application based on the data-warehousing & data-mining. But as we tuning to the network O&M (operation and management) side, the supporting system still legs far behind in BI utilization.OLAP (On-Line Analytical Processing) Technology has evolved from lab incubation into rrfassive enterprise application in the past 5 years. This dissertation models the Radio-Network data-mart's multi-dimensional structure based on OLAP theory, and specifies the ROLAP system's ETL elements in application. Finally this paper provides some application view in network KPI (key performance indicator) analysis use.With the advancement in the GIS .(Geographic Information System) science, GIS application in OLAP system can bring a new angle to data-mining. This dissertation also addresses the topic of Geographic OLAP cube visualization and illustrates the thematic mapping in Radio network KPI analysis.
