With the development of computer and the Internet technology, social distribution, business process and management flow are in great change. There are some urgent works for our government. One is that how to construct E-Government and decision supporting system using advanced technology. Another one is that how to improve the efficiency of E-Government work and promote the development of economy, using mass data in database of E-Government to construct correct decision architecture and decision supporting model.Because of Business Intelligence technology, E-government data decision supporting has been developed very well. Domestic and abroad Research institutions have proposed many solutions about E-government decision supporting system for different case systems. Although these solutions have satisfied the development of E-government decision supporting system in some extent, most of them focus on Data Warehousing and pay attention to the integration and conformity of data. Therefore, these solutions have some drawbacks: the capability of decision supporting is not strong when there are the problems that exists complicated computing decision; It's powerless to the common important circumstances that the granularity is enum type when Multi-dimensional analyze.On the basis of analyzing the existing basic theory and the leading solving scheme of E-government decision supporting system, this paper presents an improved scheme for E-government decision supporting system based on OLAP, This scheme utilizes the Data Warehousing and models to sustain the OLAP analyzing, and it expands the traditional hub model. After that the model will be an especially dimension, which's granularity configuration could be Multi-tree. And it solves the problem that granularity is enumerator.Finally, the improved scheme is applied in case system successfully. The result shows that the scheme can satisfy the anticipative requires and has better performance of response and multi-dimensional analyzing capability. It can complete OLAP operation effectively. At the same time, the scheme based on open source technology, which is flexible, economical and applicable, will better adapt the decision supporting applications of E-Government and is a good reference for the development of real congener systems.
