Research On Data Warehousing Technology And Its Application

Data Warehousing is a technology of data storing and organizing that developed rapidly abroad in 1990s.In this article the reason why Data Warehousing comes into being is discussed. And the basic notion, features and system architecture of Data Warehousing are introduced. Based on these theories, the reason why Data Warehousing is more suitable for analysis processing is detailed expounded. As an example, the Manager Query and Analysis System of ShendongCoaJ Corp is developed. In this article, the system architecture of the Manager Query and Analysis System that based on data warehousing technology is given. The conceptual model and logical model of Star model are designed. A preliminary data warehouse model of the Manager Query and Analysis System is established. The application of Data Warehousing technology in modern enterprises management is discussed in this article. The prominent features and superiority of data warehousing technology when it is used to solve those problems the traditional database technology which supporting transaction processing facing with are illustrated.
