Network element agent in the network management system in a basic position, which is monitoring the source network operating system, its value reflected the increasingly obvious. In this paper, beginning with network management standards and requirements of the specific application, an equipment management agent design and implementation has been finished.The first part of this paper starting with the concept of mobile intelligent network, led Intelligent Network Management target: SMP, SCP, IP, SDP, as well as its presence in the functional entities, and summarized the Intelligent Network Management System five domains: topology management, configuration management, performance management, alarm management, operation and maintenance management .Then introduced INMS system ,which is laid a certain foundation for the equipment side of the function and achieve agents.Chapter II of this paper is about network element agent system design. Chapter 2.1 introduced the system design principles for the network equipment agent. Chapter 2.2 describes the main function of network equipment agents. Network Management System for the functional requirements, equipment agent completed the registration, configuration, performance and alarm functions. Chapter 2.3 describes the overall structure and systems processes. Registration, configuration, performance functional modules are designed to a class managing all network element types and provide the data submitted to the INMS interface to facilitate the development of the business. Chapter 2.4 is about the equipment agents using of the three communication mechanism. UDP warning mechanism: network management system used to send warning messages. MRB information Middleware: Network Management System for the various modules communications, to provide business and operational response to the request. General information platform: it not only provides a bottom upper SOCKET communications, timers, and other functions, but also provides the guardian of the process of background operation mechanisms and processes safeguard mechanism to provide a framework for systems and programming architecture.Chapter III is of the modules design. Chapter 3.1 introduced the registration module, equipment agent on the success of the registration system is normal for communication with network management system .Its heartbeat mechanism is to guarantee the equipment agents and network management module link disconnect. At the same time introduced a module of the process of implementing. Chapter 3.2 is on the configuration module. The main functions: network management equipment acting on information sent configuration, equipment will be side by deputy collect configuration information reported. This section starts from the configuration management resource model, cited the Intelligent Network Management System data needs of Standards, introduced the process and the design of the class. Chapter 3.3 is on the performance module, the main functions: performance reporting and performance testing, equipment agent receiver network management system acquisition request, cyclical complete performance of statistical data submitted, at the same time, under the threshold configuration, monitoring system performance, and performance trigger alerts. Performance management from this section start from resource model cited the Intelligent Network Management System data needs of Standards; the report on the performance of the processes and the design, focusing on performance data collection and reporting of the frequency of frequency. Chapter 3.4 introduced the alarm module; complete the host, database, network, log, the abnormal application process monitoring, detection mechanisms on the achievement of various types and applications.As network management - equipment agent system with a control node, distributed multi-agent software architecture features, with the expansion of the scale system, the development of an automatic update system is very significant matter which formulate uniform upgrade plan, automatic coordination upgrade steps to ease Upgrade pressure works, the development of support staff background intensity.
