With the development of Internet, the organizational structure of the system has changed from centralization to distribution. Distributed systems have been more and more used in every walk of life, especially in some important economic departments. Middleware is a middle software which is between system software and application software. It is used to resolve the interaction and integration in distributed systems. Currently, most middleware products pay attention to the functionality requirement of the application and only provide the best-effort service to the QoS requirement of the application. They can't meet the QoS requirement of the distributed interaction at time, space and reliability. So this paper presents a multi-QoS management model based on message-oriented middleware. It uses message-oriented middleware which accords with JMS specification as the platform to manage QoS of the distributed interaction and can meet the QoS requirement of the distributed interaction. There are two distributed interactive modes based on middleware. One is remote procedure call and the other one is message-oriented middleware. Message-oriented middleware is a middleware which is used to transmit messages. It is an important distributed interactive mode. Data exchange based on message-oriented middleware according to efficient and reliable message transmission mechanism is platform independent. This paper firstly introduces some conceptions of middleware and QoS, then remote procedure call and message-oriented middleware which are two kinds of distributed interactive modes based on middleware are analyzed thoroughly. The execution time is selected as a standard to quantitatively compare remote procedure call and message-oriented middleware. It proves that message-oriented middleware is fitter for the interaction in the distributed environment, which provides reference for selecting message-oriented middleware as the platform to manage QoS of the distributed interaction. The traditional QoS management model and QoS taxonomy are researched and their limitations are analyzed. At the basis of this, a multi-dimension QoS management model based on message-oriented middleware is presented. The architecture of the model is designed and central modules of the model are implemented with Java. In order to research the QoS requirement of the distributed interaction thoroughly and detailedly, this paper uses multi-dimension QoS to describe the QoS requirement and analyzes the relation among QoS dimensions thoroughly. At last, this paper uses an application example to explain how the multi-dimension QoS management model based on message-oriented middleware manages QoS of the distributed interaction in the practical application.
